Although I feel that just getting a Bright Wizard on your team would solve a great deal of battles with a couple of well placed fire balls. Perhaps a mod just focusing on the Empire would be cool. The Orcs and the early undead design were clearly designed based upon the warhammer model already.
If given some visual mods then the necrosavants might be used as Eaters, although they would of course be insanely rare in the North.Īs far As OP's idea of a Warhammer overhaul, sure. As far as I know there wouldn't be any use for the the undead stuff really, although there might be some lorefriendly ways to introduce zombies to the setting. The various feuding clans of the north and the other dousins you bump into would use a combination of "regular" mid tear gear and some of the barbarian stuff. The Union would use the Noble House armies, but perhaps with less obvious heraldric stuff that their knights like to wear. Or maybe low level Nachzehrers if given crude weaponry? The wild men from beyond the Crinna would just use the barbarian assets.
In terms of assets the goblins & orcs can probably be reused as they are for the Shanka. I would actually pay good money to be able to play as a named man's dousin rampaging around, settling scores, fighting Shanka, watching good men gain their own names before going back to the mud. I agree with it being perfect for Abercrombie's Circle of the World if it just focused on Angland and the North, perhaps just prior to Bethod's war of unification or something.
